Cute. Raising a little thinker and not a fluffy brainless pretty face? (although some would argue that just being a fluffy brainless pretty face doesn’t neccessarily preclude you from being into big time politics these days. . .)
I absolutely love that shirt. Dan hates it when people call little girls princesses. He doesn’t want little girls (especially ours) to think that they don’t need to apply themselves to get what they want. It’s important to learn responsiblity, hard work and gain true knowledge! Awesome shirt!
But the fact remains, she’s a princess. My girl is a princess too. And it certainly won’t stop her from being tough, hard working and smart. I sure wouldn’t encourage my kid to go into politics though!
Jessica, looks like you married a feminist! Good job.
NungNung, you need lessons in feminism. I, personally, won’t be advocating that my daughter grow up to be any sort of man. Officer, maybe. But yeah, she’s a princess in our family. The trick is helping them understand that it’s not universal entitlement, but just cuteness that they get out of it.
